A well planning of Electrical and ICT can drastically enhance the clinic operations and safety, thus delivering on an improved patient experience. Those include:
- PA system – for public announcement, back ground music and for emergency evacuation system.
- Emergency lighting – ensures the lighting is provided promptly during a power outage.
- Nurse call system – call for help from the nurse, especially when patient stuck in the toilet.
- CCTV – to keep staff, patients and visitors safe and secure, but it can’t install inside consultation room because of the patient privacy.

Below are some of the general requirements set by MOH and it depends how is your Ambulatory Care Centre setup too.
- Emergency lighting is one of MOH’s requirement for Ambulatory Care Centre. Although this is not applied to Clinic, we still recommend Clinic to install it for patient safety.
- MOH is not allow Ambulatory Care Centre to use extension power socket to plug in any equipment.
- Emergency power supply from Genset or UPS is needed for essential systems, equipment, light, socket and ventilation system inside Operation Theatre.
